Game of Thrones author George RR Martin has joined Twitter, so fans of A Song of Ice and Fire can now follow him.
His activity is not much and he has already declared his intentions in the first tweet (and the only one at the time of writing these lines):
I don't tweet all that much, please check out my live journal page. 😉 #myfirstTweet

George RR Martin's Twitter account is not officially verified by Twitter yet. However the authenticity of his profile has been confirmed by his publisher, Random House:
Are you following a #GRRM impersonator? We can officially announce that @GRRMspeaking is the real deal (though he won’t be tweeting much)…

Twitter users wonder if as time goes by, the author of Game of Thrones can take a liking to Twitter. It would be great to get news and clues from you on all the unknowns and questions surrounding the future of Game of Thrones.
Some others comment that the more you tweet, the less time you will spend writing "The Winds of Winter" (the sixth book of the seven series the Song of Ice and Fire, so maybe it would be better if you are quiet on Twitter , after all.
